Many thanks to Jens-Arne Reumschüssel who implemented a small converter programm capable of translating the vasFMC flightplans (1.x and 2.x formats) to the PLN format used by FS9 and FSX. You can find the programm in the download section.

Announcement: New vasFMC Version
Hi Folks,
As many people were asking if there will be any new version of vasFMC, i am announcing today that there will indeed be a new version. I am currently doing a complete refactoring of the old code in order to ease the implementation of new features.
I am planning at least following key features for the new version:
- Navdisplay with surrounding airports display, ADF/VOR information and pointer needle display, runway and extended centerline display of the departure and arrival airports.
- Real MCDU GUI in A-Style.
- Enhanced and configurable FMC autopilot, letting the user finetune the autopilot for different types of airplanes.

vasFMC 1.10 X-Plane Patch
Hi,
An X-Plane user sent me a suggestion how to patch vasFMC so it can be used with recent versions of X-Plane. I added the patch to our filebase today.
cheers, Alex
Update: The downloadlink was broken - now it works as designed.

Finally… 1.10 is ready
Alex did a good job again and we’re happy to anounce the release of 1.10 Final.
We thought about updating the navdata to 0606 but decided to keep 0513 due to several missing fixes. Of course you’re free to update any time using the downloadable F1-ATR-Airac from http://www.navdata.at.
Apart from that this are the changes to Beta 3:
- Fixed range bug when switching to map mode and back to normal mode.
- Added “parent” field to saved flightplans.
- Enhanced SID/STAR runway filtering.
As always you will find the file on one of our mirrors from the download-area: http://files.vas-project.org/

vasFMC 1.10 Beta 2 released
Alex has done some work again this evening and we’re proud to release Version 1.10 Beta 2 now.
The most important changes since Beta 1 are:
- NavDisplay transfered to OpenGL
- Important: Only Mode A is currently working
- Important: No Map mode available in this version
- Some bugs regarding NavData and route intercept are fixed
As always please test as much as you can and report any issues through the forums.
EDIT: it would be highly appreciated if you could send us some screenshots from the OpenGL NavDisplay. We would like to see how it appears on different machines. Just send them to fmc {äd} vas-project.org. Thanks for your help!

NavDisplay will be OpenGL
vasFMC is currently beeing rewritten in some parts. Alex has been annoyed by the lack of perfomance and found out the navdisplay being the bad one.
So he’s now currently rewriting the display. In future it’ll be based on OpenGL. The first tests are running very well. Expect the next public beta version during the next days
