Yesterday’s release again contained some ugly bugs, sorry for that!

Today’s release contains the following changes:

• Fixed route specific bugs (sometimes routes were not saved, etc.).
• Added generic LAT/LON waypoints.
• Added PBD waypoints.
• Change “chart type” to “chart name”
• Fixed many small bugs.
• Added some charts for the following airports:
  LOWG, LOWI, LOWW, LOWK, EDDB, EDDL, EDDM and EDDF.
• Changed nomenclature from “pre alpha” to “development”

I made a new development release including the following changes:

• Every route is now selectable at each leg showing the route’s name.
• A moved label now triggers the save on exit dialog (=map change).
• Fixed route adding bug causing an assert.
• Added “New” and “Save as” options to the file menu.
• Added chart info edit dialog for changing the chart’s airport, magnetic variation, etc.

As the release yesterday had some ugly bugs, i made a new release today which includes the following changes:

• Added “save” menu entry.
• Changed the route highlighting area to the middle of the first leg.
  (I will extend this to all legs of a route later.)
• Fixed bug causing the program to crash on exit.
• Fixed bug in route edit dialog causing a crash.
• Added rudimentary change detection for save on exit.
• Adapted help dialog content.
• Added “changelog” menu entry.
• Added movable label to aiport item.

Hi,

I just released a new pre alpha version of vasCharts with a ton of new features. It is now possible to add/remove aiports, intersection, VORs and NDBs and to move their labels via the HMI. It is also possible to add new or edit existing routes via a route edit dialog. I also added a help dialog listing the available features and how to use them.
Go and get the new version and hunt for bugs!

Hi Everybody,

As many may have read in our forum, i virtually stopped (i am just implementing some small improvements) the development of vasFMC a while ago because of several reasons. One of those reasons was the start of another project called vasCharts, which will be an electronic aviation chart application for flight simulation usage.

I already made a pre alpha version, which can be downloaded from our filebase: http://files.vas-project.org/

I added some new vasCharts related forums so you may post your comments, thoughts, critics, etc…
