Hi Folks,

As many people were asking if there will be any new version of vasFMC, i am announcing today that there will indeed be a new version. I am currently doing a complete refactoring of the old code in order to ease the implementation of new features.

I am planning at least following key features for the new version:

Navdisplay with surrounding airports display, ADF/VOR information and pointer needle display, runway and extended centerline display of the departure and arrival airports.

Real MCDU GUI in A-Style.

Enhanced and configurable FMC autopilot, letting the user finetune the autopilot for different types of airplanes.

Enhanced FMC route processing.

Nearly all of the former internally fixed configuration parameters will be user-editable.

Network feature which will allow to connect more the one Navdisplay and MCDU to the FMC core.

I do not know any release date of the new version - it will be ready when it is ready - but i am aiming for a first release in the first quarter of 2008.
